In terms of specific manufacturer rankings, in the first quarter of this year, Lenovo continued to maintain its dominant position in the PC market, with shipments reaching 20.4 million units, a year-on-year increase of 60.6%, and a market share of 24.7%.
In addition, thanks to the huge shipments of Chromebooks, HP ranked second, with a total shipment of 19.237 million units, a year-on-year increase of 64.4%.
Dell’s market share declined compared to the fourth quarter of last year, but it still ranked third, with shipments up 23.4% year-on-year to 12.9 million units.
Apple ranked fourth, with shipments of 6.605 million units, a year-on-year increase of 105.2%, the largest increase among the top five manufacturers.
Acer shipped 5.69 million units, a year-on-year increase of 82.1%, ranking fifth.
In the first quarter of 2021, the top five manufacturers together accounted for about 78.5% of the overall global market share of PC shipments.
