EBITDA was RMB 296 billion, a year-on-year increase of 7.4%. Profit attributable to shareholders reached RMB 106.6 billion, and EPS was RMB 5.21, a year-on-year decrease of 9.5%. Capital expenditure is RMB 165.9 billion. Free cash flow remained healthy at RMB 81.7 billion.
In terms of the personal market, China Mobile’s mobile customers increased by 25.21 million in 2019, reaching 950 million. Mobile Internet traffic increased by 90.3% year-on-year, and mobile Internet DOU reached 6.7GB. The mobile ARPU is RMB 49.1.
In the home market, China’s mobile home broadband customers reached 172 million in 2019, a year-on-year increase of 17.1%. Among them, “Mobaihe” users reached 122 million, with a penetration rate of 70.9%. The comprehensive ARPU of home broadband reached RMB 35.3.
In the government and enterprise market, as of the end of 2019, China Mobile had 10.28 million government and enterprise customers, a year-on-year increase of 43.2%. Focusing on key industries such as industry, agriculture, education, government affairs, medical care, transportation, and finance, DICT industry solution revenue increased by 48.3% year-on-year to RMB 26.1 billion, which increased its contribution to overall revenue.
In terms of emerging markets, China Mobile has stepped up its expansion efforts in four new areas: international business, equity investment, digital content, and financial technology. In 2019, international business revenue increased by 31.4% year-on-year, and equity investment income accounted for 11.9% of net profit; monthly active users of “Migu Video” increased by 46.4% year-on-year, and monthly active users of “Hebao” core functions increased by 58.9% year-on-year .
In terms of 5G, China Mobile accelerated the launch of “5G+” in 2019, opened more than 50,000 5G base stations, and provided 5G commercial services in 50 cities; guided manufacturers to launch 32 models of 5G terminals, and promoted the 2.6GHz industry chain and 3.5GHz industry Chain maturity is basically flat.
