According to foreign media reports, Bluewrist is committed to the development and promotion of robotic arms and machine vision solutions, involving 3D inspection, robotic arm guidance, 3D scanning and robotic arm calibration.

Product Program Introduction

Bluewrist installed four Gocator 2300 3D smart sensors on the robot end effector of its (glass) insertion system, designed to monitor the position of four key points in the windshield gap. Skilled workers use Gocator’s built-in Edge Tool to determine the 3D position of key points in the gap.

Gocator 3D measurements are connected to an external PC device equipped with EzRG Advanced Robotic Arm Guidance software that calculates the transmitted data in 6 degrees of freedom and sends the calculated values to the robotic arm controller middle.

EzRG can provide various robot arm guidance and user frame calculation strategies, including: Best-fit of Measurement, 3-2-1 Fixturing, user frame formula Interpreter (User-Frame Formulas Interpreter), its calculation time is less than 0.5 seconds, and the guidance accuracy reaches 0.2 mm.

The following is an introduction to the process of the windshield insertion operation:

The robotic arm uses suction cups on the end effector of the arm to sort the glass from a fixed position;

The robotic arm moves the glass to the calibration embedding point;

The sensor is responsible for measuring the actual gap position;

EzRG calculates the translation values;

The mobile man moves to the best position and embeds the glass.

“The 3D solution delivered by the Gocator’s built-in smart measurement and contact control is surprisingly accurate,” said Najah Ayadi, president of Bluewrist.

Function introduction of GOCATOR 3D smart sensor:

Gocator’s automatic contact function measures all colors, which is very important for painted bodies;

The sensor is compact and durable, and can be easily installed into the end effector of the robotic arm without affecting other components;

The integrated design can save the space of the Electronic panel for configuring other components;

(Operation accuracy) will not be affected by the movement and vibration of the robotic arm;

Gocator’s lightweight sensors do not unduly add weight to the end effector of the robotic arm;

Gocator’s integrated smart sensor design and simplified cable design enable seamless integration with other robotic machinery;

Built-in measurement tools save the trouble of developing image analysis software.

Advantages of the BLUEWRIST Windshield Embedded System:

Integrate robotic automation technology and demonstrate 3D perception technology;

The automatic embedding process has high precision and high speed;

Instead of manual operation, it can handle parts that are not precisely fixed;

Improve quality and operator’s personal safety.

Product Highlights

The Gocator device can be easily configured to the end effector of the robotic arm, using the 6DOF guidance method for windshield assembly;

Long-term cooperation ensures that the solution can be applied to new applications.
